Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker surprised Amitabh Bachchan by flawlessly reciting his iconic dialogue from the 2000 film 'Mohabbatein'.

Olympic medalists Manu Bhaker and Aman Sehrawat are set to take the hot seat on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16’ in a special episode titled ‘Jeet Ka Jashn,’ celebrating their extraordinary achievements. In a newly released promotional video for the episode, which airs Thursday, the spotlight is on Manu Bhaker as she pays a heartfelt tribute to Amitabh Bachchan by reciting one of his most iconic dialogues from the 2000 film ‘Mohabbatein’.

In the clip, Manu, dressed elegantly in a saree, expresses her deep admiration for ‘Mohabbatein’ and asks Big B if she could recite one of his famous lines. With a playful smile, she says, “Maine aapka vo yaad kiya tha matlab bahut pehle jab maine picture dekhi thi. Toh mai bolu? (I remembered that from your film when I saw it long ago. Should I say it?)” Amitabh, unaware of what was coming, humorously responds, “Acchi baat hogi toh bol dijiyega. (If it’s something good, then go ahead).”

Manu confidently recites the iconic dialogue: “Parampara, Pratishtha aur Anushasan, humare iss gurukul ke teen stambh hai. In teeno ke adhaar par hum tumhare aane wala kal bata sakte hai. (Tradition, Prestige, and Discipline are the three pillars of our institution. Based on these, we can predict your future).” Amitabh, clearly impressed, smiles proudly and says, “Ye humari film ka dialogue tha. (That was a dialogue from my film).”

At just 22, Manu Bhaker made history at the Paris Olympics 2024, becoming the first Indian post-Independence to win two medals in a single Olympic Games, marking her as one of India’s most accomplished athletes.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan has been the host of KBC since its inception in 2000, except for the third season, which was hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Season 16 of the show premiered earlier this month on Sony TV. During the first episode of the season, Big B got emotional and shared a moving message with all those who have watched and supported him through his journey in KBC.

“Today marks the start of a new season. But I’m a little short of words today. And that’s because no word has the capacity to convey the gratitude for your love,” he said in Hindi and then added, “I can’t come up with the words to thank you for your prayers which gave a new life to Kaun Banega Crorepati, which illuminated this stage again, and which reunited a family and allowed me to be present among you. I salute this country’s people for the resurrection, rebuilding, and rebirth of KBC.”
