In 2020, Miley Cyrus and Australian actor Liam Hemsworth confirmed their divorce. Less than a year after getting married in 2018, Cyrus and Hemsworth announced they were splitting up in 2019. The relationship of the ex-couple was turbulent and unstable, just like their breakup. Four years after they parted, Miley Cyrus’ sister Noah Cyrus liked Hemsworth’s recent selfie. It’s still unclear if she did it intentionally or if it was just an ouch moment.
On April 5, Hemsworth posted a gym photo on Instagram showing off his solid arms, and Noah double-tapped—and later unliked—the picture. “#legday,” the actor captioned the photo. “A massive thank you to everyone who has watched Land of Bad! The feedback has been awesome. Extremely grateful for all the love and support!”

While it seems that Noah’s purported like has been deleted, TMZ and Page Six published screenshots, and his Instagram comment section still shows evidence of it. One user commented on the post, saying, “Liked by Noah Cyrus is crazy,” while another agreed, calling the behaviour “messy.”
Miley Cyrus and Hemsworth have had an on-and-off relationship since 2010, culminating in their marriage in December 2018. However, less than two years into their marriage, Hemsworth filed for divorce in August 2019. Despite widespread rumors of infidelity, Miley maintains that their breakup was not caused by cheating.
Interestingly, Noah and Hemsworth follow each other on Instagram. Additionally, Hemsworth follows Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, Miley’s parents, who divorced in 2022.
It coincides with a significant crisis in the Cyrus family that is reported to involve Noah, her mother Tish and stepfather Dominic Purcell. A number of media sources had revealed a few weeks earlier that Noah had an affair with Purcell, the stepfather, before dating Tish, whom he wed in August of last year.
The wedding occurred at Miley’s Malibu residence, but notably, Noah and her brother Braison Cyrus were absent. However, Miley’s other siblings, Trace and Brandi Cyrus, were in attendance, with Miley herself serving as the maid of honour.
Additionally, Noah posted a picture of herself and Braison wearing a Billy Ray T-shirt on Instagram Stories on the day of the wedding.
When Miley omitted her father from her Grammy victory speech in February 2023 while praising her family, it seemed as though the conflict in the Cyrus family had intensified even further.
Tish, Brandi and boyfriend Maxx Morando escorted Cyrus to the ceremony, and she didn’t bring up Billy Ray when she accepted the Record of the Year award for Flowers.
