Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari says she shares a beautiful relationship with Kangana Ranaut, who she has cast in the lead role in her next film Panga.
Ashwiny and Kangana have teamed up for the first time for Panga, a sports drama being produced by Fox Star Studios. In the film, Kangana plays the role of a national-level Kabaddi player.
"I am very excited about Kangana. We have completed one schedule of the film," Ashwiny said at the Star Screen Awards 2018 in Mumbai on Sunday. Notably, the next schedule will start in February.
"Kangana and I share a beautiful relationship and I have had the best time ever when I was shooting the first schedule of Panga. And the love is just going to increase. It is not just with her, it is with Richa Chadha, Neena Gupta ma'am and Jassi Gill. Pankaj Tripathi will join us in few days. It is a very different environment and we are having great time," she added.

Talking about Panga and roping in Kangana to play the lead, Ashwiny had earlier said, “For me, Panga is a story which I wanted to tell. (It is) A story very close to my heart and I could see only Kangana bringing life to the character. I request everyone not to be judgemental and allow me to breathe the air of oneness like the support and love you have given me for my previous films.”
Known for making films like Nil Battey Sannata and Bareilley Ki Barfi, Ashwiny announced Panga in August.
