Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar, son of Smita Patil and Raj Babbar, got engaged to his lady love Sanya Sagar in the city of Lucknow. The actor, who is known for his films like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa and Ek Deewana Tha, took to Instagram to share the big news.
He shared an adorable photo with her fiancee and wrote, "#monday.. "holy snappp!.. that just happened!"
The actor's engagement ceremony took place in the presence of only close friends and family members. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the ceremony took place at Sanya's farmhouse in Lucknow and marked a new beginning for the two on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchmi.
Even though the two haven't decided on a wedding date, the couple is elated over their engagement. The actor has been quoted as saying, "Sanya and I, along with our families, decided that something as pure as love should be solemnised on an auspicious day and what better day than Basant Panchami. She’s the best partner I could have asked for. It didn’t take me long to figure out that she was the one for me. I know it sounds clichéd, but I can’t stop counting my blessings and thanking God for all the good that is happening in my life."
