S. Shankar’s much-anticipated directorial ‘Game Changer’ is creating a wave of excitement among fans. The film brings Ram Charan and Kiara Advani back together on the big screen after their previous collaboration in ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ (2019). Billed as a gripping vigilante action thriller, the story centers on an upright IAS officer who takes on a corrupt political system, focusing on the importance of impartial and fair elections. In celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, Ram Charan unveiled a brand-new poster for the film, further fueling the growing anticipation around this highly awaited project.
On Saturday, Ram Charan took to his Instagram handle and shared the vibrant image. In the poster, Ram Charan is standing in the center, striking a dynamic dance pose, wearing a light green shirt, light gray pants, and a red scarf tied around his head. He is surrounded by a large, colorful crowd of performers in vibrant traditional costumes, hinting at a festive or celebratory theme. Meanwhile, the poster was imprinted with
“2nd Single Coming This Sept” suggesting that a second song release is expected soon along with “Vinayaka Chavithi Subhakankshalu” written at the top, conveying festive greetings for Ganesh Chaturthi. The caption read, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi (with two heart emoji and folded hands emoji).”

Game Changer has been in the making for the last three years. It went on floors in October 2021 with the team wrapping up its final schedule in July this year. The makers had also announced that it’s slated for a theatrical release in December this year. The first song from the film titled Jaragandi was launched in March. However, of late, multiple reports began stating that the release of Game Changer might be pushed to 2025 due to Ram reshooting some portions which would lead to a delay in post-production.
But, News18 Showsha has now learnt that there seems to be no truth to the story. At the ongoing Moscow International Film Week, the producer of the film, Dil Raju, exclusively spoke to us and cleared the air surrounding Game Changer. “The shoot is complete and we’re releasing the film during Christmas this year,” he stated. Confident that the film will emerge as a box office success, he told us, “I’m definitely expecting this film to change the images of Shankar sir and Ram Charan. It touches upon an aspect of Indian politics and explores a social theme. I’m hoping it will strike a chord with the audience and will be a big success.”
For Raju, this confidence also comes from the anticipation that the audience will get to experience the pre-Robot Shankar with Game Changer. “It’s a proper commercial film. Shankar sir has done this kind of a film earlier but after Robot, he changed his style of storytelling. But he’s going back to what he was known for with Game Changer after a long time. It’s a typical hero-villain film. It has five songs that will be a visual treat for the audience. We’re confident that the film will get very good results,” he added.
Speaking to us earlier, Advani had also revealed that Game Changer will show both her and Charan ‘in a very different light’. “It’s always lovely working with Ram. He’s a very, very fine actor and an excellent dancer. We shot together for Game Changer after the release of RRR. And he was still the same. He’s so grounded. He’s a humble and wonderful person. That’s what makes him the star that he is. It was my dream to be directed by Shankar sir. He’s an incredible director. He creates magic onscreen,” she had shared.
