Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor lost his younger brothers Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor in April 2020 and February 2021 respectively. Randhir is the eldest son of Raj Kapoor and is missing both the darling brothers. Sharing a post on Instagram, the actor informed the same. He posted a throwback picture of Rishi and Rajiv and wrote a heartfelt caption.
With a fan following of 13.8K users on Insta, the actor received lots of support from his followers. One of his fans said to stay strong while one other commented “May they have reached peace in the hands of God and his angels.” People also dropped hearts and folding hand emojis to express their sympathies.
Randhir keeps on sharing pictures of his family members with his fans on the social networking site.
Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67. He was battling cancer since 2018. The actor was last seen in 102 Not Out where he shared the screen space with Amitabh Bachchan. The next shock came to the Kapoor family when Rajiv Kapoor died on February 9, 2021, at the age of 58 due to a heart attack.
Before these losses, Randhir had also lost his mother Krishna Kapoor in October 2018 and his eldest sister Ritu on January 14, 2020.
Randhir started his acting career as a child artist in his father’s film Shree 420 which was released in 1955. Kal Aaj Aur Kal which released in 1971 marked his entry into the industry as a lead actor and was paired with Babita, whom he later married. The couple has two daughters Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
