Tamil blockbuster Garudan, starring Soori, M Sasikumar and Unni Mukundan in the lead roles is set to have its Telugu remake soon. As per media reports, Nandhi fame Vijay Kanakamedala will be directing the remake with actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas in the lead role. Nara Rohit and Manchu Manoj will also play prominent roles in the film. The remake is set to be a multi-starrer. The shooting of the film has already started. The makers are eyeing a release on Sankranthi next year. The makers have not officially announced the title of the film yet. Apart from the lead cast, the media reports have speculated the ensemble cast of the film.
As per the report of Telugu One, Manchu Manoj will be essaying a negative role in the film. The report claims that the film’s shooting has been progressing at a rapid pace at RFC, Hyderabad. Bellamkonda Sreenivas has allegedly put all his other films on pause mode to wrap up this film. Media report claims that Anandhi, director S Shankar’s daughter, Aditi Shankar and Malayalam actress Divya Pillai are roped in to play female leads. The film also stars Ajay, Vennela Kishore, Sandeep Raj and Sharath Lohithaswa.
Sri Charan Pakala will be composing the music while Heropanti cameraman Hari K Vedantam will be the lead cinematographer of the film. Director Vijay Kanakamedala has kept the authenticity of the original while making adequate changes to the screenplay of the film.
The Tamil film Garudan was written and directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film follows the story of two childhood friends and their confidante whose loyalty is changed by when betrayal and survival kick in between them. The critics praised the performance of the lead cast along with emotional action drama in the rural background. The fans of the film are eager to witness the Telugu remake of this film.
Bellamkonda Sreenivas is garnering headlines with his upcoming film Tyson Naidu. It is directed by Sagar K Chandra. Apart from the young actor, the film also stars Nabha Natesh in the lead role.
