The song noted that hard work, love and hunger are the three great powers that govern the world. The song tries to describe the motto of Labour Day. The song is a wake-up song for all who work day and night to provide our daily supplies. The song is reportedly written by Vairamuthu himself, and composed by famous music composer Ilaiyaraaja.

Ilaiyaraaja and Vairamuthu are known for their collaborative works in the 1980s. They have worked together for around seven long years, delivering some top hits in the musical industry of India. The duo stopped working together as their relationship turned sour reportedly. The artists were not seen to work together for over thirty years now.
