Christie’s confirmed to Bloomberg that Jolie is the owner of the classic car which is a 1958 Ferrari 250 GT with coachwork by Pininfarina SpA. This black coupe, featuring wire-spoke wheels, is the 11th of only 353 models produced between 1955 and 1960.

The Ferrari 250 GT coupe, which was first unveiled at the 1958 Paris Motor Show, comes with a 12-cylinder cylinder delivering 240 horsepower. The  two-door model replaced Ferrari’s earlier Boano and Ellena designs and touted the new capabilities of the Pininfarina design house.

A spokesperson from Christie’s confirmed to Bloomberg that the Ferrari still has its original engine. The auction house did not disclose how long Angelina Jolie owned the vehicle or if she ever drove it. The car is anticipated to fetch a value will be between €600,000 (around Rs 5.5 crore) and €800,000 (approximately Rs 7.3 crore).

In other news, Angelina Jolie, the actress behind incredible hits like Changeling, Maleficent, Those Who Wish Me Dead and The Good Shepherd is preparing for an exciting new role.  Academy Award-winning star Angelina Jolie will portray opera singer Maria Callas in the upcoming film titled Maria, directed by Pablo Larrain. The film will premiere in select theatres on November 27 before making its way to Netflix in December.

The biopic received a standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival and Jolie has talked about how challenging it was to play the legendary opera singer on screen. She told Hollywood Reporter, “I had somebody in my life who was not kind to me about singing. It was a relationship I was in. And so I just assumed I couldn’t really sing. I’d been to theater school, so it was weird that it even had an effect on me. I just kind of adapted to this person’s opinion. So it took me getting past a lot of things to start singing.”

The biographical film follows the American-Greek soprano as she retreats to Paris trying to stay away from the public eye. Maria reimagines the singer in her final days. Apart from Angelina Jolie, Maria also stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alba Rohrwacher, Pierfrancesco Favino and Valeria Golino.
