Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, who is currently a part of the India vs New Zealand test series squad, is known for his aggression on field. His demeanour during matches often make the headlines. However, his wife, actress Anushka Sharma once revealed that Virat is completely opposite off field. She said he is the ‘calmest’ person she knows.
Speaking with Filmfare in 2019, Anushka said, “He’s one of the calmest persons I’ve met. Off the field, he’s so relaxed. You can ask my friends, my team. He’s like that on field only because he’s so passionate. He’s not aggressive in real life. That’s only his demeanour on the field. He’s the most shaant person I know. I look at him and I’m like, ‘Wow! You’re so chill.’”
Anushka and Virat have been married for seven years now. The couple got married in December 2017 and welcomed their first baby, daughter Vamika in January 2021. They had their second child, a son named Akaay, earlier this year. Anushka seems to be on an indefinite break from work. The actress was last seen in Zero, which released in 2017. She had announced the Jhulan Goswami biopic, titled Chakda ‘Xpress.
It was also reported that she has wrapped the filming as well. However, the film hasn’t announced a release date. Meanwhile, it was speculated that Anushka and Virat have moved to London. Anushka reportedly spent several months of her pregnancy in London, away from the limelight. This led to the belief that Akaay was born in London. This turn of events has fans guessing that Anushka and Virat are setting up a new nest in London and might move there permanently after Virat retires from all formats. The former Indian captain announced his retirement from the International T20 format earlier this year. The couple is yet to address these rumours.
