Bobby Deol made an iconic and memorable comeback to the film industry with his film Animal. He debuted as a romantic hero in the mid-90s. Jeetendra and Dharmendra-starrer Dharam Veer was released in 1977, which went on to become the biggest hit of the year as well as one of the most iconic films in Bollywood. In the film, Bobby Deol, then only 8 years old, played the role of a younger version of Dharam, the titular character played by his father, Dharmendra. As per reports, the audience loved his role of little Dharam and he received credits for his work.
Bobby Deol started his career in Bollywood as a lead with the film Barsaat, which was released in 1995. He shared the screen space with Twinkle Khanna, who was also making her debut. It is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Dharmendra, under the banner of Vijayta Films. The cast also includes names like Raj Babbar, Mukesh Khanna and Danny Denzongpa. Bobby Deol became a recipient of the Best Debut at the Filmfare Award.
Dharam Veer was made under the direction of Manmohan Desai and was released on September 7, 1977. It starred Dharmendra and Jeetendra in titular roles. The cast also included Zeenat Aman, Neetu Singh and Pran. It is produced by Subhash Desai under the banner of S S Movietone. The film became a huge success at the box-office and one of the most successful releases of the 70s.
