X-Men Star Ray Park Roped In For Deadpool And Wolverine?
A screenshot featuring Ray Park’s response to a fan’s speculation on whether the actor, who played the role of the villain Toad in the 2000 film X-Men, would feature in Deadpool And Wolverine, has gone viral.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have joined forces for one of the most-anticipated Marvel movies Deadpool And Wolverine. Directed by Shawn Levy, the superhero flick has been grabbing the headlines for several reasons. From comic-accurate elements to rumours of Taylor Swift’s special appearance, the action comedy has become the talk of the town even before its release on July 26. Now, another X-Men alum has indirectly hinted at his inclusion in the threequel. Ray Park, who essayed the role of the antagonist Toad in the 2000 film has teased being Marvel buffs on being a part of Deadpool And Wolverine.

A screenshot featuring Ray Park’s response to a fan’s speculation on Instagram has been doing the rounds on the internet. Hinting at Park’s cameo in Deadpool And Wolverine, a social media user wrote, “You (Ray Park) are in Deadpool And Wolverine. Look at the trailer at the time code 1:52.” Neither confirming nor denying the claim, the X-Men star replied, “I am (in Deadpool And Wolverine). Lol must have kidnapped me in my sleep.”

Last year leaked pictures from Deadpool And Wolverine’s sets took the internet into overdrive, underlining several Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) references. One among them was a photograph of two individuals riding the Fantasticar from the 2005 action sci-fi Fantastic Four featuring Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis. Eagle-eyed fans took out their detective goggles and opined that one among the two people sitting in the vehicle was Ray Park.

In fact, Deadpool And Wolverine’s set photos also contained a severed head of Sabretooth — an X-Men villain where Ray Park starred, fuelling the rumours of Park’s involvement in the upcoming Shawn Levy directorial. The images captured Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) dressed in his yellow superhero costume fighting with Slasher aka Sabretooth. In a parallel image, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) held the villain’s severed head.

During the CinemaCon event in Los Angeles, Shawn Levy in an interaction with Screen Rant revealed that Deadpool And Wolverine was not a mere “third Deadpool movie. It’s not trying to copycat anything from the first two movies” but was a story of the two protagonists where their characters are explored through an adventure.
