There are a slew of songs and videos that go viral on the internet. Among other recent sensations are the hilarious memes on a rendition of nursery rhyme Inky Pinky Ponky. Hussein Vally, a singer from Johannesburg, South Africa recreated the rhyme with the tune of the title song from the 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. It seems now the rendition has reached the filmmaker Karan Johar and his reaction will surely leave you laughing.

Comedian Tanmay Bhat took the initiative to tease Karan Johar with this viral rendition that deconstructed a soulful number from his debut directorial. Tanmay was seen sitting beside Karan in the reel and singing the lines of Inky Pinky Ponky in the same tune to him. While Karan acts as if he is busy with his work and tries hard to focus on his phone ignoring Tanmay.

The social media buffs had hilarious reactions to the reel. A user joked about the filmmakers expressions and said, “Karan reacting to Tanmay’s meme,” while another quipped, “Ab Karan bhi FIR Karega.” Another user jokingly said, “ Kaam mang rha hai bro.”

Karan Johar has been around a lot of content creators recently. Earlier this year, Karan Johar organised a ‘kitty party’ at his Mumbai home for Kusha Kapil, Tanmay Bhat, and several other social media influencers. In the photos shared by Karan, he was seen posing with Kusha Kapila, Arjun Kapoor, Sumukhi Suresh, Tanmay Bhat, Niharika NM, Danish Sait, and Vedant Lamba.

The filmmaker recently unveiled the teaser for his upcoming web series, titled Showtime, which delves into the nepotism debate. Karan has undoubtedly been at the centre of this discussion and has now come up to make content out of it. The teaser of the web series features Emraan Hashmi, Mouni Roy, Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, Shriya Saran, and Rajeev Khandelwal.

The Indian Express quoted a statement by Karan Johar stating, “Showtime is a series that is very close to my heart, it gives a closer look into the power struggles of the showbiz. The show will ensure that battle lines are drawn and crossed and keeps the camera rolling with the audiences clapping.” Showtime is a Disney Plus Hotstar Original that will be available on the platform later this year. The show was co-directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar. Dharmatic, Karan Johar’s digital offshoot of Dharma Productions, is funding it.
