During its initial weekend, the film raked in an impressive Rs 5.80 crore (US$730,000). The first week of release saw a total gross of Rs 7.71 crore (US$970,000). Moving into the second week, the film netted Rs 10.62 crore (US$1.3 million). By the fifth week, the film’s earnings reached Rs 14 crore (US$1.8 million). The star cast visited many theatres and spotted Housefull signs in various locations. The entire team is thrilled with how the audience responded after seeing the film.

Recognised for its rich storytelling, the movie earned acclaim at the prestigious Berlin Film Festival as well. Carrying forward this legacy, Anand L Rai has produced recent hits like Good Luck Jerry and An Action Hero. Now, he continues this successful streak with Jhimma 2.
