When Rajinikanth recently appeared on the big screen as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in the highly anticipated film Jailer, he won the hearts of the audience yet again with his stellar acting prowess and powerful on-screen presence. However, what truly drew the audience’s attention was Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar’s cameo as Narasimha. The actor has now opened up about the possibility of a spin-off with his character.
In the film, Narasimha is a former convict and friend of Rajinikanth’s character who extends his help to Tiger for the success of a mission. Other than this, he also makes an appearance towards the end of the film. As such, fans have been curious if there will be a Jailer spin-off featuring Narasimha as the lead.
Speaking to India Today about the same, Shivarajkumar said, “I don’t mind. I really don’t know how it works. Nelson Dilipkumar should create and have that idea, because, after the success of Jailer, he has got more responsibility for his next film. But, there was one sequence, which was supposed to be shot in the prison, but then later he said, ‘Not necessary sir’. So, I don’t know what will happen about that. If it is on the same line, then I don’t mind at all. Having said that, Nelson is very good at portraying such grey characters.”
Speaking about his cameo becoming superhit in the film, he said, “Sometimes, we don’t know what people/audiences like.” He said that even his wife asked him about this unusual response.
Meanwhile, the actor is currently seen in the film Ghost which was released recently. He will next be seen in Dhanush’s Captain Miller. The Kannada superstar also has Karataka Damanaka and Bhairathi Ranagal in the pipeline.
As for Rajinikanth, the Thalaiva is currently shooting for his upcoming next with TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame.
