Vicky Kaushal's The Great Indian Family Is Now Streaming On OTT; Where To Watch

Vicky Kaushal is having a busy year in terms of work. While he is occupied with his upcoming film Sam Bahadur, the actor recently shared the OTT release and poster of his latest venture, The Great Indian Family, on social media. The light-hearted family drama also stars former Miss Universe, Manushi Chhillar, playing the female lead opposite Vicky Kaushal. The film graced the big screen on September 22, 2023. Following its theatrical debut, this family drama is set to charm audiences once again once again on OTT now.

The Great Indian Family is now available on Amazon Prime Video. The announcement of its streaming availability was also made through the digital streaming platform’s Instagram page. Accompanied by the film’s poster, the caption read, “Here to drown you in humor, heartfelt love, and wholesomeness!"

Under the directorial helm of Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Yash Raj Films, The Great Indian Family showcases a stellar ensemble cast. In addition to the dynamic duo of Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar, the film boasts noteworthy performances by acclaimed actors such as Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, and Sadiya Siddiqui. The narrative unfolds in the enchanting town of Balrampur, weaving together a delightful tapestry of humour, drama, and intense emotions.

At the heart of the narrative is the Tripathi family, revered for their influential role in the priestly lineage of Balrampur. The focal point of the family is Ved Vyas Tripathi, aka Bhajan Kumar— a son who is known for soulful bhajans and joyful camaraderie with friends. However, the story takes a turn when unexpected revelations regarding Ved’s birth and lineage surface. Confronted with an identity crisis and personal dilemmas, Ved embarks on a transformative journey to unravel the truths of his roots and origin. The storyline unfolds as Ved grapples with the profound confusion in his life, questioning whether he can successfully navigate the challenges that lie ahead.

As for the film’s lead actor, Vicky Kaushal, he has a lineup of two extremely important films, releasing next month. His next release will be the much-awaited Sam Bahadur, based on the life and times of Field Marshal Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw. It will also star the Dangal girls, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in important roles. Shortly after that, Vicky will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, along with Shah Rukh Khan and actress Taapsee Pannu.
