Getting admission to the top law colleges in India is not easy. For this, it is mandatory to be successful in the Common Law Admission Test. Candidates who succeed with good scores in the CLAT exam get a chance to get admission to 25 out of 26 National Law Universities (National Law University, NLU Admission).

For admission to prestigious law colleges in India in the year 2024, CLAT will be held on December 3. For this, it is necessary to apply online on the official website of Consortium of NLU, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, before the last date, which is November 3. Without this, no candidate will get a chance to take the exam. To apply, students have to first register and then log in with the registration details and submit the application form and fees.

CLAT 2024: Exam Pattern

CNLU has changed the CLAT exam syllabus and exam pattern from this year. A total of 120 questions will be asked in the CLAT 2024 instead of 150. There will be five sections in this exam paper – English, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques (Law Entrance Test Syllabus). The first four sections will have paragraphs of 450 words each. The correct answer has to be ticked out of the four options given in it.

CLAT 2024: Steps to apply

Step 1: Go to consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the CLAT 2024 registration tab

Step 3: After that, select the “new registration” option

Step 4: Fill out the application form

Step 5: After reviewing the CLAT 2024 application form, upload the necessary documents as required.

Step 7: Download the CLAT 2024 application form confirmation page and take a printout of it for future records.

General category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 4000. Whereas, candidates from SC, ST, and reserved category will have to deposit Rs 3500. Only those candidates who submit the application form and exam fees before the last date will be issued admit cards and will be able to appear for the exam.
