Netherland continue to make this World Cup campaign a memorable one for them as they outclassed Bangladesh in a low-scoring match on Saturday at Eden Gardens. Netherlands displayed their fighting spirit once again and posted 229 on the board as they were 107/5 at one stage. Skipper Scott Williams scored a fighting 68-run knock to lead their recovery. Paul van Meekeren was the standout performer with the ball and claimed a four-fer as he led the bowling attack and dismantled Bangladesh for just 142.
Meanwhile, the first match of the day was completely contrasting as it was a high-scoring clash where Australia managed to edge past New Zealand in the last-ball thriller.

Australia piled up 388 all out as Travis Head top scored with 109 and fellow opener David Warner made 81.
New Zealand battled hard with Rachin Ravindra making 116, Daryl Mitchell adding 54 and Jimmy Neesham supplying late fireworks with a 33-ball fifty before they finished on 383-9 in 50 overs.

Zampa has been consistently taking wickets in this tournament and is key to Australia’s sensational comeback after losing the first two matches. New Zealand left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner is placed at the second position with 14 wickets. While Shaheen Afridi, who has claimed 13 wickets, slipped to the third position in the tally. Proteas paceman Marco Jansen has also taken 13 wickets and is in the fourth spot, followed by his teammate Gerald Coetzee with 12 wickets.
