161. Chorasi is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Banswara (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Chorasi falls in Dungarpur district and South region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,13,962 voters in the seat, which includes 1,09,194 male voters, and 1,04,768 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Chorasi recorded a voter turnout of 77.07%. In 2013 the turnout was 79.36%, and in 2008 it was 65.2%.
In 2013, Sushil Katara of BJP won the seat by a margin of 20,313 votes (14.11%). Sushil Katara secured 50.17% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 6,214 votes (5.74%), registering 42.49% of the total votes polled.
