JDU denies using tactics to derail Modi's rally in Bihar
Sushil Modi accused Nitish KUmar of making attempts to hamper the rally by first denying permission of the ground and then inviting the President on the same date.

Patna: Politics continues over Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate (BJP) and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled 'Hunkar' rally in Patna on the October 27. The JDU denied allegations by Bihar BJP leader Sushil Modi that it is trying to sabotage the rally by inviting President Pranab Mukherjee to the state.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, "Bihar government has nothing to do with the scheduled to visit of President in a function of IIT Patna." JDU sources also said that all necessary security arrangements are in place for both Modi's rally and the President's visit.

Sushil Modi had alleged that Nitish Kumar was trying to derail Modi's rally. He had said that first Nitish government had denied permission for the use of Gandhi Maidan and then invited the President to Bihar on the same date so that his rally is hampered due to the security issues.

However, JDU sources say that the President will be in Patna on October 26 for an event organised by IIT Patna and the Bihar government has nothing to do with it.
