New Delhi: Ex-Maharashtra Congress chief Kripashankar Singh's son, Narendra Mohan, apologised to the media on Saturday for reportedly making obscene gestures at them last week.

He said, "The media is spreading misinformation because some people are feeding the media that way. I apologise for my conduct. I regret the incident that took place. I am a responsible citizen and do respect the freedom of the press."

"My action though wrong, was a consequence of being under pressure at this juncture. I apologise to all the mediapersons," he added.

Narendra Mohan had showed the middle finger to the media earlier last week.

Meanwhile, Kripashankar Singh has said that while he agrees that what his son did was wrong, "the way the media is targeting me and my family is also wrong".

He added, "Law will take its own course. I am not running away. I am innocent. I will fight my battle in court."

The ex-Maharashtra Congress chief's properties were raided and attached by the Mumbai Police crime branch on Friday.
