Mulayam may go for vote-buying: Sibal
Science and Technology Minister Kapil Sibal challenged Mulayam Singh to come out with a list of loyal MLAs now.

New Delhi: Ahead of the CWC meeting, Science and Technology Minister Kapil Sibal told a news conference that his party firmly believed that Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's trial of strength in the assembly would involve vote-buying.

PTI quoted him saying that the Centre would do "whatever it is charged to do" under the constitution.

"The constitution is our Geeta. We are aware that such a government cannot continue under the provisions of the constitution."

Sibal, who insisted that Yadav had no majority support at the moment, challenged him to come out with a list of loyal MLAs now.

"We are very curious. Also, the people of Uttar Pradesh would like to know how he is going to prove his majority," the Congress leader said," PTI quoted him saying.

Sibal insisted that Yadav's government has lost constitutional sanctity.

The minister, who gave a party-wise break-up of state MLAs in an attempt to prove Yadav would not be able to prove his majority, said the Congress was also aware of the Left position on the issue.
