Rahul lacks experience, never worked on ground: Shahdol BJP candidate
He also accused the Centre of step-motherly behaviour towards Madhya Pradesh as it had a BJP government.

Shahdol: While the Aam Aadmi Party may have been targeting Narendra Modi for the farmers' death in Gujarat, the BJP candidate from Shahdol, Dalpat Singh Paraste, has come out in the defence of the party's prime ministerial candidate saying farmers' condition will only improve after the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) forms the government at Centre.

The four-time MP from Madhya Pradesh's Shahdol, Paraste also took on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi saying an inexperienced person won't make a good prime minister. "Rahul Gandhi has never worked on ground with people, never known their pain and agony. Now you tell me, can someone so inexperienced be a good leader?" he said.

Declining to answer questions on the induction of tainted leaders BS Yeddyurappa and B Sriramulu, he instead threw the ball on the other side and left the final decision on public and their conscious. "The party has inducted people due to their winnability factor, it is on the people to decide the good and bad. We cannot differentiate on our own," said the BJP leader.

"Nothing is hidden from the people, they are the ultimate decision maker," he added.

Showing confident of winning this election, he hit out at the Congress over corruption. "People are suffering because of the UPA's incapable policies and rampant corruption. Unemployment has increased, inflation is very high," he said.

He also accused the Centre of step-motherly behaviour towards Madhya Pradesh as it had a BJP government. He hit out at the Centre's compensation plans for the state farmers, who lost crops due to recent hailstorm and rains.

Paraste pointed out that the Centre would only compensate farmers whose crops were damaged completely due to hailstorms and rains. He added that hailstorms caused Rs 13,000 crore loss to the farmers in Madhya Pradesh.
