Raj Babbar attacks UP government over 'deteriorating' law and order
He demanded the early arrest of the murder accused, Babbar's media coordinator said.

Ghaziabad: Congress leader and former MP Raj Babbar on Wednesday attacked the Uttar Pradesh government for "deteriorating" law and order situation in the district.

The actor-turned-politician has expressed his concern to the UP Director General of Police Anand Lal Banerjee over the "deteriorating" law and order in the state, especially in the Ghaziabad district.

Babbar, who had unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha election from the district earlier this year, also talked about the recent murder of a Sahibabad based jeweller, during his talk.

He demanded the early arrest of the murder accused, Babbar's media coordinator said.

Meanwhile, Congress city unit on Wednesday staged a protest at the collectorate office here and handed over a memorandum to the district magistrate addressed to the Chief Minister.

The memorandum demanded reduction in electricity tariff, release of infrastructure fund and establishment of high court bench in western UP among others.
