New Delhi: The rift is widening within the Bharatiya Janata Party and now Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha has backed rebel MP Kirti Azad in the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) row while asking his party to refrain from a knee-jerk reaction against someone fighting against corruption.
Sinha said that Jaitley should follow BJP veteran LK Advani's example and work to come out clean on issue politically. "Kirti Azad- is hero of the day. Humble appeal to friends to avoid knee jerk reaction, coercive action against friend who's fighting against corruption. Have often quoted Newton's third Law. Feel that untimely action could boomerang. Sadly the party with a difference has become party with differences. As for Finance Minister, issue should be fought politically not legally. As advised by our dashing dynamic Prime Minister, our Finance Minister could follow LK Advaniji's example and come clean."

The remarks came even as Azad and the Aam Aadmi Party are continuing to target Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and accusing him of corruption when he served as DDCA president
BJP MP RK Singh also said that the party should not involve itself in the DDCA controversy.
Jaitley had filed both civil and criminal defamation cases against Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders for allegedly defaming him and sought Rs 10 crore in damages and their prosecution for offences that entails a punishment of upto two years in jail.
A week after a CBI raid on the Chief Minister's secretariat against his principal secretary that triggered allegations by AAP against Jaitley in the affairs of the Delh's cricket body DDCA, the minister took the legal recourse saying the AAP leaders' "malicious and defamatory" campaign was causing irreversible damage to him.
The others who have been named in both the petitions are Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Bajpai.
The complaint was filed under various sections of the IPC including 499 (defamation), 500 (punishment), 501 and 502 (printing and sale of defamatory matter).
