New Delhi: Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare on Tuesday said that he never suspected AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal's honesty but had raised some questions regarding the funds raised during his Jan Lokpal agitation.
He said that had no doubt about Kejriwal's sincerity and added that someone was trying to create misunderstanding between them. He said that he shot off a letter to the AAP leader over alleged misuse of funds collected during the Jan Lokpal agitation. But Arvind Kejriwal disclosed the letter and his answers to public and media before replying to him.
Earlier on Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal sent his emissary Kumar Vishwas to Ralegan Siddhi after Anna raised some questions about the way Kejriwal was running his election campaign. Vishwas met Anna on Tuesday to explain AAP's position on the issues raised by him especially regarding the fund mobilisation for political purposes, but Anna did not appear to be satisfied with the explaination.
However, after criticising Kejriwal, Anna later said, "We are not enemies. I did not know he wanted to talk to me. I am ready to talk to Arvind Kejriwal."
Kejriwal had on Monday responded to Hazare's letter regarding the alleged misuse of funds collected for the Jan Lokpal Bill agitation. He said that he was ready for an investigation and said if he was found guilty of misusing the funds, then he wont fight Delhi elections.
