Apple’s Mac Mini could be the latest product to get the full USB C upgrade this year as per reports. The company has so far adopted USB C for iPads, iPhones and even some Mac models.
And now Mac Mini will be the latest product to be added in the USB C kitty, most likely when it launches around October-November this year. In fact, reports suggest Apple could remove all the USB A ports and replace them with USB C ports for connectivity and other purposes on the new 2024 Mac Mini version.
2024 Mac Mini Version: What To Expect
It goes without saying that the new Mac Mini will be powered by the latest M4 processor from Apple that we first saw on the 2024 iPad Pro model. Offering USB C ports is the right decision and if it becomes official later this year then Apple will serve a limited audience with its legacy connectivity USB port. The report mentions the new Mac Mini will have three USB C ports at the back and two of them on the front.
It has also been suggested that the 2024 Mac Mini will be Apple’s smallest model in the market but still packing enough power innards to run apps and the advanced AI features from the company. It could also feature an aluminium casing that gives it a premium design and probably making it lighter than its predecessor.
The Mac Mini 2024 could be accompanied by the MacBook Pro M4 version and the iMac powered by M4 processor variants. Apple is likely to host the launch event for the new Macs in October which is the usual timeline for the last Apple event of the year. In the meanwhile, the world is waiting to catch a glimpse of the new iPhone 16 series which will be unveiled at the Glowtime event on Monday, September 10 which will be livestreamed on Apple Events page and its YouTube channel.
