In parallel with the rise of biker communities across every part of India, content featuring motorcycle stunts has nowadays become a trending topic on different social media platforms. There are several young influencers, who share bike-related vlogs on a regular basis. Apart from sharing updates about recent bike launches, those individuals also attempt to show off their riding skills on their own two-wheelers. As these sorts of stunts require professional training, practising them without having proper knowledge may lead to harsh consequences like life-threatening accidents.
Going by the possibility, Delhi Police have recently shared a message about road safety for bikers on X (formerly Twitter). To make the post more engaging, the department made sure to add a pinch of humour to the advisory. It had a screenshot of a Google result page, with a query in the search box reading, “How to do a wheelie.”
Keep the rubber side down and the safety vibes up.Safety is the ultimate accessory for every rider.#RoadSafety#DelhiPoliceCares pic.twitter.com/X7Yw9wtkWM— Delhi Police (@DelhiPolice) January 17, 2024
Despite answering the question, Google came up with a better suggestion as it asked, “Did you mean: How to land up in a hospital bed?” Delhi Police wrote in the caption, “Keep the rubber side down and the safety vibes up. Safety is the ultimate accessory for every rider.” The post was able to create a buzz among X users, who hailed the Delhi Police for sharing such an important message in a creative way.
Those, who have an idea about recent social-media trends must have seen videos featuring wheelie, a popular bike stunt. This manoeuvre can be performed on both a motorcycle and a bicycle. To imitate a wheelie, a rider needs to bring his bike to a good speed. The sudden acceleration will make the front wheel go up, while the biker must step on the rear brake to keep the back wheel down.
A few days ago, Delhi Police shared another witty post about the consequences of touching any suspicious object. The department dropped a picture of a red trolley, which was left alone in the middle of a road.
When a user clicks on the picture, it unveils an important advisory saying, “Laawaris Cheezon Ko Touch Nahi Kiya Jaata. Kuch Suspicious Dikhne Par Delhi Police Ko 1090/14567 Par Call Karo. (Unclaimed things are not touched. Inform Delhi Police if you find anything suspicious).”
