The Tesla Cybertruck, an electric-powered full-size pickup truck, is estimated to have a starting price of $39,900, approximately over Rs 33 lakh.

Tesla’s Cybertruck is easily one of the most advanced vehicles in the world. This electrically powered full-size pickup truck looks like it’s straight from a science fiction film. Now it appears that the Dubai Police is one of the first holders of this much sought-after vehicle.

On Sunday, the law enforcement agency shared a photo of the Cybertruck on the roads of Dubai and wrote, “The Dubai Police General Command has added the Tesla Cybertruck, the modern electric car with a futuristic design, to its tourist police luxury patrol fleet.”

This X post soon raked up over 3.6 lakh views in just a day. Replying to the tweet, Tesla CEO Elon Musk wrote, “Cool.”

According to CNBC, the Cybertruck is estimated to have a starting price of $39,900, approximately over Rs 33 lakh. It was first unveiled in 2019 in Los Angeles but the first delivery was made almost four years later in November 2023.

The Dubai Police’s post about the Cybertruck has prompted much praise from auto enthusiasts. An X user commented, “It would’ve been way cooler if we could implement our software and cooperate to upgrade the speaker to be used as a siren, and reprogram lights and get a port at the roof for better lights!”

Many users also expressed their wish to buy the cybertruck for their personal use. Expressing this desire an X user wrote, “Very cool! When do we get the Cybertruck in Dubai? If it’s legal for the Dubai Police then please ship them over. Plenty of interested buyers here too.”

Another user wrote, “Hi Elon, when can I buy the amazing cyber truck from Tesla Dubai ? No one is answering this question on when it’s gonna be available “maybe” you know.”

“If that thing pulls me over, I’m stopping immediately,” read a funny comment.

According to Tesla’s website, the Cybertruck is made of “an ultra-hard stainless-steel exoskeleton” and armour glass. It has a towing capacity of 11,000 pounds (approximately 5,000 kilograms) and a payload of 2,500 pounds (approximately 1,100 kilograms). The truck can go from the speed of 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. Additionally, the truck can “travel up to 340 miles on a single charge”.
