Singer Prateek Kuhad is currently on his Silhouettes tour, where the artist is delighting audiences with his back to back shows across the US. Last week, Kuhad performed at the New York City’s Beacon Theatre. Amid his hectic schedule, the Kasoor singer collaborated with popular Instagram chef Joe Vadakkedam, known as Fire Escape Cooking on the platform. Joe’s video series features him stopping people on the street from his balcony and asking for recipe ideas, which he then proceeds to cook for them. The chef usually teams up with local residents and content creators and his latest collaboration with Kuhad garnered massive attention on social media. Although Kuhad seemed like he was craving for veggie tacos, Joe decided to level up the dish by adding a vegan twist to the food. The unexpected collaboration left fans eager for more.
In the video, Joe shouts from his balcony and says, “Excuse me in the brown shirt. If I could cook you one meal, what would it be?” Kuhad responds, “Likely maybe Veggie Tacos.” Accepting the order, the chef immediately goes to his kitchen and shares, “Screw the veggies, I’m taking this up a notch by going full pant based for this meal.” He gathers ingredients like ginger, garlic paste, soy sauce, spices, olive oil, honey and lemon. He then marinates mushrooms with ginger garlic paste before preparing a sauce with various green vegetables. Once the dish is ready, he serves it to Kuhad himself. Soon after taking the first bite, Kuhad feels satisfied and says, “It’s really good.”
