Deadly stunts to nail the reel trends are nothing new on the Internet. From a girl dangling from the top of an abandoned building to another man clinging to the outside of a moving car, the viewers have seen it all. However, the repercussions of performing these stunts can be life-threatening for some. Remember the man who went viral earlier this month for executing a high-risk stunt at the Sewri station? He lost his left arm and leg while performing another stunt at a Masjid station later. Central Railway’s Railway Protection Force (RPF) recently traced the concerned person at his house and was shocked to see the tragic incident that unfolded.
Central Railway dropped a video on X to issue a stern warning against performing dangerous stunts. Through the clip, the officials also highlighted the danger of such acts. Identified as Wadala resident Farhat Azam Shaikh, the man caught everyone’s attention on July 14 for the stunt video he made on March 7 this year. The heart-wrenching incident wherein he lost his arm and leg took place on April 14 when he was attempting to execute another stunt.
Notably, the RPF found about the man’s accident during an investigation against him that has been ongoing following a case under relevant sections of the railway act. The case was registered against the man by Wadal RPF.
Reflecting on the difficulties faced by the man, an official, in a statement said, “Accused Farhat on 14th April met with a life-threatening accident while performing another stunt at Masjid station and lost his left arm and leg. Railway Administration had rushed him to St George’s Hospital, CSMT for treatment. He is facing extreme difficulty in performing daily chores and has appealed to all passengers in a video to stay away from performing such dangerous acts which are not only illegal but are also life-threatening.”
Adding that actions can have fatal consequences, the officials also urged citizens to avoid life-threatening stunts and report anyone performing the same on mobile number 9004410735 or 139 immediately.
