When someone gets stung by a bee, the person experiences pain and itching in that area. For some people, it can be serious and life-threatening. People can also experience Anaphylaxis, a serious, life-threatening allergic reaction that can be fatal. Something similar happened with a Somalia man. He was stung by a giant bee. Though he did not experience anything soon, his organs started to stop functioning after several days. He was admitted to the hospital, but later his health improved quickly and he was discharged. The 60-year-old man from Somalia had been stung by bees multiple times, but none of the incidents turned out as frightening as this time. After two days of being stung, he experienced severe reactions and then was taken to hospital. According to a report by Mogadishu Somali Türkiye Training and Research Hospital, even after being stung several times, the man did not immediately experience any anaphylactic reactions. This was reportedly the first recorded case of multiple organ failure due to a sting by a bee in the country.

The person did not visit the hospital until a week but after experiencing severe symptoms he decided to go for a checkup. He mentioned that he was having breathing problems for six days. He also complained of experiencing oliguria, a urinal problem. After thorough checkup, doctors found several red patches on his body including swollen eyes and breathing issues. Some tests revealed that the man had received severe liver and kidney injuries.

After confirming the issues, doctors started their treatment to hydrate the affected veins with a comprehensive liquid diet. The patient showed significant improvement with the treatment and was discharged after seven days.

According to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, around nine deaths were recorded annually due to anaphylaxis caused by bee stings in the UK only. Several doctors mentioned that bee stings should not be ignored as they can turn fatal for a human being. Severe reactions can take place in minutes. Most of the life-threatening reactions can occur within 30 minutes
