There was one city that fell into ruins because of its own fate. According to reports, the name of the city was Kowloon Walled City, and it used to be a part of Hong Kong. The city was always in the news because it had no law, and the citizens used to do things as per their wishes. It was also found that things like prostitution, drug dealing, and gambling were quite rampant in the city.

According to reports, Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong used to be one of the most talked-about cities in the world. It had no laws of its own, and all the illegal and illicit activities were quite common. The city had around 50,000 residents living on just more than six acres of land.

It used to be a poor city, and there was not much food there. One of the most popular dishes in the area was dog meat. Reportedly, this city was made of about 300 high-rise towers, all of which were connected to each other. Many people living there were quite happy in the city, despite living in poverty. It was also said to be the densest city in the world.

The city had no proper architects involved in the design, and no permission was granted. Many flats had no windows, wires were dilapidated, and leaking water pipes ran through people’s houses. After World War II, many immigrants from China came to settle in the city, and it was then that it started to flourish. Even though the British took control of the city, they played no major role in the city’s development, allowing anarchy and an uncontrolled regime to exist. Apart from that, many brothels, casinos, and drug dens started opening, and setting up a business was quite easy as there were no regulations or licences.

After many years, things got so out of control that the Hong Kong government was finally forced to take action. In 1992, people living in the area were asked to move out. Many people began protesting against it, and it even took a violent turn, forcing the Chinese government to demolish the city.
