'Traffic Discipline At Peak': Video Shows Jam on One Side of Road in Meghalaya, Internet Impressed
Viral video shows incredible traffic discipline in Meghalaya, internet says, 'Learn from them'.

Dealing with traffic jams is universally irritating, and just when you think queuing up is bad enough, you’re bombarded with blaring horns and drivers overtaking from every nook and cranny—it’s total chaos. However, in Meghalaya, traffic jams are a whole different ball game. Doubt our words? Recently, a video showcasing the state’s impressive traffic discipline has taken the internet by storm.

Shared on Reddit, the clip displayed a remarkable sight: all the vehicles on the right side of the road patiently queued up amidst a lengthy traffic jam. Not a single one attempted to break the rules by crossing the white line in the middle of the road. It was as if they were the sole guardians of that white line, a rare sight indeed, considering elsewhere in such jams, you’d witness vehicles occupying the entire road, not even sparing room for oncoming traffic.

This stark contrast in traffic behaviour left many on the internet in awe. Much respect!”

Another commenter shared a harrowing experience, “It’s great. There’s a lot to learn from them. I was once stuck on my way to Nandi Hills near Bangalore in a similar situation.. and bikers, autos and few cars keep using the right lane to go forward and they blocked the incoming vehicles on the right lane and it took nearly 6 hours and an ambulance stuck in it and even cops couldn’t solve it. We barely covered 1/10 of actual distance and we had to cancel and come back.”

Earlier, a video showcasing Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram, also went viral for its remarkable traffic discipline. The video depicted cars parked in a single file on one side of the road. Without rushing, honking, or trying to overtake, vehicles followed each other in a line behind the lead vehicle.
