Anwar Ul Haq Kakar appeared on a video shared by Pakistan-based news outlet The Current from where he delivered his new year’s message to fellow citizens in this unique version of an ask-me-anything (AMA).
A citizen asked Kakar if a 52-year-old person should marry a woman of his choice. Kakar responded by saying: “Of course, even if you are 82, do consider it”. This led one social media site user to comment: “The Prime Minister sounds more like a love guru than a political leader; post-retirement, he should open a marriage bureau on Prince Road, Quetta.”
Another social media site user commented: “Today, I am a proud Pakistani”.
The caretaker Pakistan Prime Minister was questioned by one citizen on what course they should take with their ‘crazy mother-in-law’. “I will probably go on a crisis management course,” Kakar said in response to the question.
Kakar said he has never tried to impress anyone but he was always impressed by others when a user asked tips on how to impress someone when there is no money.
Kakar also urged a user to carefully choose between love and ability when he was asked by a user regarding what to do when someone gets employed abroad but has to leave the love of their lives. “I guess you get love by chance and job according to your ability. You will have the chance to have the job according to your ability. Don’t miss the chance,” Kakar said.
