'Now water with H20': Bengaluru water bottle supplier's old marketing ad goes viral again.

‘Bengaluru never fails to amaze and amuse,’ as the saying goes, and time and again, this sentiment holds true because, quite seriously, it’s the city that consistently delivers something both distinctive and entertaining. Recently, Bengaluru’s penchant for the amusing resurfaced with an old picture showcasing a water supplier’s marketing quirk, sending the internet into fits of laughter once more.

In the shared image by Railway bureaucrat @Ananth_IRAS, a wall adorned with an advertisement from Nandi Aqua Industries caught everyone’s attention. The tagline proclaimed, “Now Water With H20.” Hold on, what? Did it make you do a double-take? Just like that, the internet found itself scratching its collective head, attempting to decode a meaning that, quite literally, meant nothing, given that, for the less ‘known,’ H2O is the chemical formula for water itself!

Predictably, the picture quickly went viral, accompanied by a caption that playfully pondered, “Wonder what were we drinking till now!”

Social media users joined the fun, with one quipping, “We were drinking heavy water. Going forward, they will reserve it for nuclear power plants.” Another added a touch of sarcasm, saying, “We were sipping on ordinary water. This one is fortified with H2O. Ah, the marvels of modern technology!” A third person chimed in, exclaiming, “What an ‘Intelligent’ Advt. – clearly crafted by a ‘Scientist’!”

Before this, a quirky warning sign from a garden had already made its mark on the internet, adding a touch of eeriness to the innocent act of flower-plucking. Shared by the cleverly named @KismiBar on the micro-blogging site, the picture featured a sign nestled among a row of flowers, cautioning, “Please do not pluck flowers…we are watching!!! If caught smiling while plucking flowers…you will be fined INR 500/-.”
