Ayushmann Khurrana and South Korean singer Eric Nam have forged a strong friendship through their love for music and food. The actor and the K-pop star first met each other at the TIME 100 Impact Award in Singapore held last year. Now, that Eric Nam has arrived in India to attend the Lollapalooza music festival, Ayushmann Khurrana is making sure that his friend does not leave the country without trying some lip-smacking Indian dishes. The Action Hero actor turned food host to Eric Nam, treating the Lost On Me singer with back-to-back cuisines. In a joint Instagram post, Ayushmann and Eric demonstrated their culinary adventures which soon grabbed the attention online.
In the video, Ayushmann Khurrana can be heard telling Eric Nam, “I will make you travel to India via our food. Culturally rich, food is also very rich.” The two celebrities begin their enjoying food with fried onion fritters or Kanda Bhajiya, which is a West Indian speciality with green and red chutney. After struggling to pronounce the name, Eric finally gets it right and adds that he would love the dish to be spicy. Next, they put their hands on Chole Amritsari Kulcha, a North Indian cuisine. Although Eric found the item “flavourful and healthy”, Ayushmann begged to differ and the two burst into laughter.

Soon after Eric Nam revealed that he loves biryani, a plate full of Hyderabadi Biriyani from South India came to their tables. The singer basked in the spice-infused aroma of the popular dish. Ayushmann and Eric ended their gastronomical adventure with melt-in-the-mouth Rasmalai from East India, topped with pistachios and Kesar. Eric clapped his hands appreciating the dessert. “So this is India travel. You have the entire country with our food,” said Ayushmann, to which Eric demanded that he wanted more. “I’m still not full. Time for round 2,” captioned the actor.
Replying to the video Eric Nam commented, “Anytime, anywhere, I’m there! (Also we gotta do this in Korea!).” Reacting to the post, an individual wrote, “Eric found the best foodie to go on an India tour with.” “The cutest foodie ever,” quipped another. “Awww the laughter in between is,” noted a third user.
In an interaction with Hindustan Times, Ayushmann Khurrana expressed his happiness for giving Eric Nam “the best food experience” in India. The singer too heaped praises on the actor calling him a “gracious and welcoming host”. His favourite food combo was roti and chole.
