India ended its campaign with six medals – five bronze and one silver – at the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris. Manu Bhaker opened the medals tally with a bronze in the 10m Air Pistol women’s event and another one in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh. Shooter Swapnil Kusale won a bronze in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions.

The Indian men’s hockey team added the fourth bronze medal. Neeraj Chopra clinched silver in the men’s javelin throw. Wrestler Aman Sehrawat clinched bronze in the men’s freestyle 57kg category.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant was last seen in action during the final game of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Pant did not have an impressive game, scoring six runs during India’s chase of 248.

A lacklustre performance the Indian team eventually saw the side getting dismissed for 138. India lost the ODI series 0-2 which was their first since 1997. The Indian cricket team had got the better of Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series.
