The Indian Army commenced the online application process for the Agniveer Recruitment 2024 on February 13. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website at joinindianarmy.nic.in. According to the official notification, the last date to submit the registration forms for Agniveer Recruitment 2024 is March 22. Candidates should exercise caution when filling out the application because once submitted, the information will be considered final.
The Indian Army chooses Agniveers through the Agnipath Scheme. This scheme offers an excellent opportunity for the country’s youth to gain experience in the Army without making a long-term commitment. Currently, recruitment notifications for Mahila Army Police, Havildar, Surveyor Automated Cartographer, Constable Pharma, Nursing Assistant, and Nursing Assistant Veterinary in the Indian Army have been released under the Agniveer Scheme.
While speaking to Local18, Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Lansdowne Director Colonel Paritosh Mishra said that many new measures have been included to improve the recruitment process. “From this year interested candidates can apply for technical posts apart from general duty. This will increase the chances of success in the recruitment process. Also, more applications are expected for Mahila Sena Police,” Mishra told Local18.
The ARO office has also sent some suggestions, taking into consideration the input from previously held rallies, to improve the facilities for candidates- especially women- to register and attend the event. He claimed that numerous new initiatives have been implemented this year to enhance the hiring procedure.
Meanwhile, Agniveer recruitment includes these new four rules:
– The Armed Forces has implemented a new adaptability test to determine candidates’ suitability for the challenging environment, which will be administered before the medical test. Those who pass this exam will be eligible for the next round of selection.
– In addition to the entrance examination, a new typing test for Agniveer Office Assistant, previously known as Agniveer Clerk, will be administered. Both examination levels will be determined by the candidates’ age and ability.
– To distinguish between genuine and fake candidates, a new biometric verification process in the form of an iris scan has been implemented. Youth should only register using their Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers, as Aadhaar verification will be conducted during the recruitment rally. Candidates who enrolled through cyber café should keep the email address they used.
– Earlier, IITs were the only institutions to offer incentives to young candidates seeking technical recruitment. But polytechnic has now been added to the list. So, students enrolled in polytechnics can also participate in the Agniveer recruitment process.
