Didn't Apply for a Degree Yet? Calicut University Introduces Special Admissions Provisions for 2024-25
Students who have not yet applied or did not secure a seat during previous allotments can benefit from these facilities.

The University of Calicut announced special provisions for degree applicants seeking admission for the academic year 2024-2025. Following the third allotment of degree admissions, the university will facilitate degree editing and late registration to fill vacant seats. Students who have not yet applied or did not secure a seat during previous allotments can benefit from these facilities. The university will conduct two supplementary allotments specifically for aided courses in government and aided colleges. Additionally, rank lists will be provided to affiliated colleges and university centers to fill vacancies in self-financing courses based on merit.

After the third allotment, students can secure permanent admission while retaining higher options, a university spokesperson stated, adding that supplementary allotments would consider higher options if available, with a requirement for applicants to accept the allotment to any of these options. The university emphasised that any admission obtained previously through allotment will be forfeited if applicants opt for supplementary allotments, without reinstatement under any circumstances.

Those who have not received an allotment so far are encouraged to participate in supplementary allotments based on their current application status. Applicants who have utilised the editing facility will automatically be considered for these allotments and revised rank lists.

Key Dates and Facilities:

  • Editing Facility: Available from July 15 to July 18, 2024. Applicants can correct errors in their applications and make additions, except for critical information such as email ID, mobile number, name, register number, and date of birth.
  • Late Registration: Students who have not applied yet can register late with a fee of Rs. 310 from July 15 to July 18, 2024. Supplementary allotments and rank lists will include these late registrants.

Detailed schedules and further information can be accessed on the university’s official website http://www.admission.uoc.ac.in. For more information, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the university’s website or contact the university administration directly.
