Bhumi Pednekar has come a long way since her acting debut in 2015. In recent years, the diva has never failed to make heads turn with her public appearances and styling. She first came into the limelight as a plus-size actress for her stellar role in the comedy-drama, Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Bhumi has now shown that she can take up rugged looks as required by the script and embody a fashion goddess at the same time. Today, in one way or another, she is deemed a fashion trendsetter in the industry.
Most recently, Bhumi stunned her 9.2 million Instagram followers with dazzling pictures of her in a blue dress and glossy makeup. In her latest look, Bhumi is wearing a deep blue outfit by Eli The Label. However, the pictures taken by the photographer Dwaipayan Mazumdar focus the light on Bhumi’s face. As a result, we get uniquely lit pictures that highlight Bhumi’s side profile, while providing shadowed lighting to her back. The makeup artist compliments the luminous blue of the dress, by giving Bhumi a minimal and glossy look with a bronze colour palette. This adds much-needed warmth to the whole look. The outfit was styled by celebrity stylists Mohit Rai, Shubhi Kumar, and Tarang Agarwal.
Bhumi shared these artistic-looking pictures on Instagram on Friday, October 24. So far, they have gathered over 16,000 likes.

Over the years, Bhumi has shown that she can rock a traditional as well as Western look with equal panache. The 34-year-old actor also does not shy away from trying out-of-the-box and risque looks.
However, this was not always the case with the National Award-winning actor. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Bhumi spoke about how she initially struggled with her fashion identity and said, “I would like to believe that at the start of my career, my fashion was more of a struggle between who I really am and me trying to service the image that my films had created. So, I was never my authentic self. After eight years of this journey, I feel I have the confidence to put my authentic self out there and I think this happened to post the pandemic. I think all of us went through a lot of self-realisations because of a lot of time spent with each other. I’d like to say that eight years ago, my fashion was a part of me but not a hundred per cent and today what you see is authentic Bhumi.”
