New Delhi: Jonathan Cardozo, just 11-year old, speaks of his delight at making the grade at the Brasil Futebol Academia (BFA).

The Brasil Futebol Academia in Goa will kick off proper training this week, but the kids are already in love with the academy, the coaches, and the "Brazilian" experience they're enjoying so far.

Goal.com spoke to 11 year-old Jonathan Cardozo, whose father J.F.Cardozo used to play for Churchill Brothers, and the young lad had nothing but positive things to say about the academy. "My experience has been amazing so far, and I've been playing well too", said Jonathan.

And it's true, as he had scored in a practice game earlier, which he attributes to the improvement in his game after visiting the academy. He elaborates, "Earlier I used to have problems in scoring goals, but now I'm getting that scoring touch, which shows that I have improved as a footballer."

The youngster looks up to Brazilian star Ronaldinho for inspiration, and believes he is still the best footballer in the world. However, his club loyalties lie with Manchester United, who seem to have captured the imagination of the younger generation with their fluid, passing game.

What about the best footballer in the I-League? "My favourite player in the I-League is Beto, who plays for Dempo", said the kid. The aspiring striker also lauded the academy for their emphasis on a healthy diet. He said, "I think it's very good that they are suggesting what we should eat. We have been asked to eat eggs, milk, bread, bananas etc, so that we stay healthy and strong."

Jonathan made it through to the academy after a two-stage selection process, although all the kids who made it past the first stage were selected eventually.
