Port-au-Prince: A moderate earthquake has rattled southern Haiti, causing some people to run out of buildings in fear. There were no immediate reports of damage.
The United States Geological Survey is reporting that the magnitude 4.6-quake was centred 38 kilometres southeast of the capital of Port-au-Prince and had a depth of 4.9 kms. It struck at 9:51 pm EDT.
