HYDERABAD: Refuting the charge that some questions in the Intermediate second-year physics examination held on March 14 were given from outside the prescribed syllabus, minister for secondary education Kolusu Parthasarathi has asserted that each and every question was given from the textbook published by the Telugu Akademi.Speaking to newspersons here on Thursday, the minister said an expert on the subject and retired lecturer, AG Deekshithulu, was asked to look into the charges immediately after publication of some news reports.Deeksithulu submitted his report by the evening, stating that none of the questions appeared in the paper was given from outside the syllabus. On allegations that Board of Intermediate Education was not following the blue print (model book for setting questions papers) in preparing the physics paper, he said the board had not been following the blue print for the past three years. He remarked that students of corporate colleges, who usually study in a particular pattern, were puzzled by twisted questions but the BIE made no deviation from the syllabus in preparing the question paper. Maybe, the questions were tougher in contrast to those given in previous years, he said.
