Apple working on iPhone 6 running on iOS7: Report
The new iPhone is expected to be released by Apple in the middle part of this year.

New Delhi: Amidst the the next-gen iPad and iPad Mini rumours, traces of Apple's new iPhone have started surfacing. Though there is hardly any possibility of the new iPhone to be launched in the near future, but according to The Next Web report, Apple seems to have started working on the new iPhone.

The report says, one iOS developer discovered that a device named "iPhone 6,1" was making requests from an IP address on Apple's Cupertino campus, thereby suggesting that members of Apple's software development and app teams are testing apps on the new device.

"One developer showed us that Apple has been testing hardware relating to a new 'iPhone6,1' identifier, powered by a device running iOS 7, which is expected to be released by Apple in the middle part of this year," reports The Next Web, adding, "Apple's current flagship, the iPhone 5, bears the identifiers 'iPhone5,1' and 'iPhone 5,2' depending on the LTE model of the handset and the 4G bands on which it operates."

It's too early to say that whether Apple is actually working on the new iPhone or is the company, which promised to double down on secrecy, just pretending to have a new iPhone to mislead people.
