Balakrishna Pillai discharged from hospital

THIRUVANANATHAPURAM: Kerala Congress (B) leader R Balakrishna Pillai, who was discharged from a private hospital here on Tuesday, said that he would speak to the media later but said the first news that he heard after coming out of the hospital was that of CPM leader M V Jayarajan sentenced to six months rigorous imprisonment. Pillai, who was sentenced to one-year imprisonment in the Idamalayar case, was granted remission on the occasion of State Formation Day. After getting discharged, Pillai went to his daughter’s house in Kowdiar and later to the party office. He would be staying back here as he was advised to consult a doctor on alternate days.Pillai was also expected to attend a high-level meeting of his party.
