Kolkata: India's premier striker Baichung Bhutia on Tuesday scotched speculation that he has decided to quit international football, saying he would continue to represent India as long as he enjoys playing at that level.
"I have spoken to my family. And they inspired me to continue at the international level. And so, I will continue. So long I enjoy, I will play international tournaments," Bhutia says.
Bhutia added that he would turn out for India in the Kings' Cup in March if the selectors chose him.
Bhutia, however, said that Indian players need to be provided with good quality balls in domestic tournaments to help raise the standard of the game in the country.
"We need to play with good quality balls in domestic tournaments. The quality of balls has to be improved. Most of the balls we play with are not round. Also, we play with balls of different make in different tournaments,'' he said.
