New York: Americans Bob and Mike Bryan advanced to the quarterfinals of the US Open doubles on Monday, downing countrymen Bradley Klahn and Tim Smyzek 6-3, 7-6 (5).

The 36-year-old Bryan brothers, the world's top-ranked doubles team, have yet to drop a set through their first three matches. They capped the victory with their trademark chest bump.

In a career of milestones, the Bryans are pursuing their 100th career doubles title together. They hold a record 15 Grand Slam tournament titles, including four US Opens, but have not won one since Wimbledon 2013.

A win at the US Open would give them at least one Grand Slam tournament title for a record 10 straight years.
