Dubey takes charge as director of BHEL

HYDERABAD: M K Dubey assumed charge as Director of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) on Friday. Prior to this, he was heading the company's heavy electrical plant at Bhopal as Executive Director.A mechanical engineer from Maulana Azad College of Technology, Bhopal, Dubey joined BHEL as an trainee engineer in 1976.Dubey has worked in various departments of BHEL. Under Dubey's stewardship, the company's Bhopal plant achieved several milestones like successful manufacture and testing of India's first 1,200 kv, 333 MVA auto transformer, according to BHEL.As a capability building initiative, a 12,000 MVA state-ofthe- art manufacturing plant was set up at Bhopal to manufacture large-sized EHV, HVDC and UHVAC transformers and reactors, enhancing the total capacity to 30,000 MVA for transformers.
