KOCHI: New doctors should be messengers of good deeds in a world full of love, Swami Amritaswaroopananda Puri, vice-chairman, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, said. He was delivering the blessing speech at the convocation ceremony of the fifth batch of MBBS students at AIMS on Thursday.Isaac Newton’s law of gravity teaches us to attract everything to earth, but Amma teaches us to apply law of gravitation for inner growth, and develop into global citizens by following the path of love and goodness.After inaugurating the ceremony, Kerala University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor K Mohandas said that Amrita institutes have made a mark among various institutes in the world. Writer C Radhakrishnan who presided over the function said that doctors should learn to understand the pain of society and be able to care for the suffering with love.Vice-principal D Anandkumar administered the oath. Medical director Dr Prem Nair and heads of departments spoke.
